Check out this video I shot while creating this painting on location in Brown County, Indiana.  Condensed down to about three minutes.

This spring I got five plein air oil paintings done in the forest during the rapidly changing winter into spring season.

One last detail down by the creek.

Filed notes on the back of the painting

“Gorgeous, sunny, spring day.  Warm, 75º.  Kept Jack on a leash and tied him while I painted.  Makes it tough but I don’t want him running off.  After I finished the painting, took the dogs for a longer walk, off trail, following the creek.  Made a video of the painting in the works.  3:00 – 6:00 p.m.”

Signed on the front in the wet paint and on the back, including the location.

Finishing touches

The painting still needs to be varnished and framed so it will be a little while before it is ready to go.  Hoping to take it to my first show in June.

Sorry I am a little behind on posting the new, plein air, oil paintings.  A few months ago, I started using conventional celery to make my daily celery juice and, boy, did that catch up to me.  I crashed and burned!  Celery is on the “Dirty Dozen List” so juicing it really concentrated the chemicals.  So, now I am back on the ORGANIC celery and feeling fabulous.  Just a lot to catch up on around the farm and studio.

Thanks for staying in touch!

I love and appreciate you!

Happy trails,

xoxoxo

Charlene
