Summer in Yellowwood Forest 053023 S 36×48

So this is a new painting, “Summer in Yellowwood Forest”, 36″ x 48″, that immerses one in the summer, emerald green forest.  Even though it is a deciduous forest, it feels tropical with a rich green that envelopes the viewer.  Especially in the summer when it is hot out!  Yellowwood State Forest borders my property in Brown County, Indiana.  Yellowwood State Forest trail map.  Please note that my trail is not on this map.  I blazed it myself when I first moved here.  So it is a rogue trail.  LOL.

After the painting is varnished, it will be framed in 1″ wide strip frame stained to a red oak hue.  People have commented that the strip frames look like a tree from the painting.
